"Crypto Rumble" is a card RPG + match-three Web3 game built on the Zypher Network game engine. Based on the Zypher game engine, all game logic is based on the server abstraction technology of Zypher Network, completely constructed on-chain without relying on centralized servers. Game assets, processes, and outcomes can be directly verified on the blockchain, ensuring transparency and integrity, providing players with a fair and just gaming experience and true asset ownership.
In terms of game content, "Crypto Rumble" describes a legendary chaotic world that values combat, where players must strategize to become the wisest commander and leader in this chaotic realm.
Basic Gameplay
Before each game round, players need to select three heroes from their hero pool to form their team members, while also choosing different equipment from their inventory to provide certain attribute bonuses to the heroes. The ultimate goal of each game round is to defeat the opposing BOSS with different attributes.
In the battle against the BOSS, a turn-based system will be adopted. During the player's turn, players need to achieve match-three by moving blocks, and after successfully eliminating blocks, the three heroes will attack the BOSS, with the total attack points for each round being the sum of the attack points of the three heroes.
The effectiveness of the player's attack on the BOSS depends on the heroes' attributes, levels, and qualities, as well as the number of blocks eliminated in a single move (the more blocks eliminated, the higher the damage dealt to the BOSS). The game usually limits the number of moves players can make, and defeating the BOSS before running out of moves results in victory. Conversely, if all heroes are defeated before running out of moves, or if the BOSS is not defeated after running out of moves, the game results in failure.
Heroes are the most critical element in the game. We not only need to strategize by selecting different heroes to form teams, but also because different hero classes have advantageous match-up characteristics, such as warriors defeating assassins, mages defeating warriors, and assassins defeating mages. When a hero's attributes counter the BOSS's attributes, an advantageous match-up is triggered, granting the hero a 50% damage bonus, thus showcasing their natural advantage; conversely, damage is reduced by 50%. Therefore, we need to strategize troop deployment to achieve optimal results against different BOSSes.
At the same time, we also need to continuously upgrade heroes (the level range for heroes of each quality is 1-100) and enhance their quality (hero qualities are divided into various categories) to continuously improve our team's combat power, gaining a better gaming experience and higher influence and rewards in battles.
Currently, "Crypto Rumble" has set up three main game modes, including PvE, World Boss mode, and PvP mode.
PvE Mode
PvE mode is the classic level-clearing gameplay, where players consume 100 stamina (VIT Point) to deploy up to three heroes for PvE battles. Successfully completing challenges rewards players with corresponding experience points and game item rewards. The PvE gameplay consists of 30 levels, with increasing difficulty as the game progresses.
In the regular challenge mode, the game sets the BOSS type, BOSS health, movement steps, experience points, and $GOLD rewards for each level, allowing players to choose different hero lineups for targeted deployment (more information can be found in the game).
In addition to the challenge mode, PvE gameplay also features a hero mode, which doubles the original PvE BOSS attributes. As the game's difficulty escalates, the rewards for defeating the BOSS will also increase accordingly.
World Boss Mode
World Boss mode is a mining gameplay based on the PouW (Proof of useful work) consensus mechanism. In this mode, players must pay 1,000 $GOLD assets (platform tokens) to purchase a ticket and, upon qualifying, challenge the world BOSS (90% of the $GOLD tokens paid by players enter the seasonal prize pool).
In the game, players can choose up to three heroes to fight against the world BOSS. Each battle lasts for three minutes, and at the end of the time, players are ranked based on the damage dealt to the world BOSS. Players receive mining rewards based on their rankings.
World Boss mode operates on a seasonal cycle, with each season lasting seven days (based on UTC-0 time). The reward pool is fully distributed each season and does not carry over to the next season. Players can freely join or exit the season. At the end of each season, players can claim ranking rewards from the prize pool based on their final rankings.
PvP Mode
PvP mode is a multiplayer online competitive mode, where players can select three heroes to form a team and engage in combat against each other in the PvP arena. Before the PvP game starts, players need to place a bet using $CR tokens, with bet amounts of 100 $CR, 500 $CR, or 1000 $CR, which will determine the amount of rewards players can ultimately receive.
PvP mode will use an automatic matching system to find PvP opponents. Within a three-minute limit, players compete based on the damage dealt to the BOSS, calculated in the same way as in PvE and World Boss modes, based on the number of blocks eliminated. At the end of the time, the player who deals the most damage to the BOSS wins and receives 90% of the total bets made by all players in the room, while the remaining 10% serves as a platform fee. Additionally, the winner will receive an extra $CR PK reward.
PvP mode will run on the z4 engine of the Zypher Network, ensuring real-time gameplay and experience for players during PvP matches. This game mode will be launched soon.
"Crypto Rumble" is set to launch on the Zypher Layer3 chain Zytron Pioneer in November 2024, and will airdrop blind boxes and other game assets to active users on the Linea mainnet and ETH mainnet. Players can participate in the "Treasure Ark" event to stake relevant assets and receive blind box rewards (ark.zypher.network/). For every 0.5 ETH / 0.5 wstETH / 0.5 ezETH / 0.5 STONE / 0.5 weETH staked, players will receive a mysterious box containing a "Crypto Rumble" hero.
A total of 10,000 "Crypto Rumble" hero mystery boxes will be given away in the Treasure Ark event, each box containing heroes that can enhance the player's team combat power! There is no limit to the number of boxes a single player can receive; players can continue to stake and collect until they are all given away.
